1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Never stop praying.
Never stop praying to means to not only to pray continually but to also always be seeking God.
Praying should be a daily conversation that we have with our Father.
My dad passed a few years back and through that I had a perspective change about who God is. Before my dad passing I thought of God as God. Nothing wrong with that my faith in God was there. But once my dad passed my thought changed to God being MY Father. It took my earthly father passing for me to see God as my only Father, my heavenly Father.
With that change came the way I spent time with God. I dove into the Bible more and prayed more than I ever have.
It changed that thought of never stop praying to I can't wait to talk to my Father and wanting to seek Him all the time.
Praying is a conversation with God. That's it. He wants to talk to you like you talk with your husband, wife, friend, parent. He wants that as our Father.
So in your prayer walk remember that God is our parent, our Father, and we should desire to talk to Him like He is our parent.
Here is the rest that goes with that verse above...
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
God will for you is great and wonderful. His love never ends. Seek the Lord is all you do and He will guide you as a parent guides their child.
