At Community Radio, Inc., our mission remains at the heart of everything we do: provide comfort, encouragement, and spiritual strength to Christians globally, while also shinning as a light for those who are lost. As part of our continued effort to fulfill our mission more effectively and expand our reach, we have set out to complete these key projects.
New Headquarters
Our goal is to build a new, purpose-built headquarters that will serve as the heart of our ministry and broadcasting operations. This facility will be designed to withstand the severe weather conditions common along the Gulf Coast while providing the space, safety, and technology needed to support our mission. More than just a building, it will be a center of hope and outreach, ensuring that 90.5 KJIC can continue sharing God’s Word and uplifting music for generations to come.
Backup Generators
Reliable power is essential to keeping us on the air. Frequent storms and power outages have too often silenced our broadcasts—leaving our audience without the encouragement and comfort, they rely on. With reliable backup generators, we can keep 90.5 KJIC broadcasting through any storm.
Infrastructure Upgrades
To continue serving effectively, we must strengthen the foundation beneath our ministry. Planned infrastructure upgrades include improvements to drainage, sewage, water systems, parking, driveways, and security features. These enhancements will ensure our property is safe, functional, and welcoming—creating a space where our team, volunteers, and guests can serve, connect, and grow together in faith.
Pilgrims Retreat
Every believer walks a pilgrim’s road—a journey toward deeper faith and closer fellowship with Christ. For those in ministry, that journey can be especially demanding. Pilgrims Retreat will be a Christ-centered refuge designed to offer rest, renewal, and spiritual restoration to pastors and ministry leaders. It’s a place where weary servants can step away from the noise, seek God’s presence, and return to their calling refreshed and strengthened.
Service Vehicle
A new SUV or van would serve as our dedicated service vehicle, helping our staff and volunteers travel safely while transporting the equipment needed for outreach, community events, and gatherings. Beyond its practical use, this vehicle would also act as a mobile billboard, sharing the message of 90.5 KJIC wherever it goes. Every mile traveled will represent another opportunity to reach hearts across our city and beyond.
Radio Expansion
The message of hope through Christian Country music and God’s Word continues to change lives—and we’re ready to reach even more people. Through radio expansion projects, we hope to extend our coverage area, upgrade transmission equipment, and explore opportunities for additional frequencies and formats.
