He shifted over to contemporary Christian stations, wanting everything he listened to reflect his new walk with Christ. But Don grew up on country music. Those sounds were woven into his childhood, and he always knew the genre carried deep Christian roots. In that moment, Don felt as if the Lord was redeeming a part of his past, taking something from his childhood and giving it back to him renewed, restored, and full of purpose.
