Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:13
Having grace with one another can be trying at times. With personality differences, expectations and hurt we don't always have the grace we should.
The scripture above tells us to make allowances for each others faults and to forgive one another and the Lord forgives you.
Ok honestly it can be hard to have grace or show grace to someone who we clash with personality wise but if we take the time to try and understand where they are coming from and maybe even get to know them a little better to understand who they are and why they do what they do, we can then figure out how to show that grace.
We also hold on to things when others hurt us. That is not just harmful to the potential of a relationship you can make or recover with that person but is also harmful to yourself. Holding on to hurtful feelings can harden our hearts toward others and toward God.
God shows us and gives grace to us daily. He knows that we will mess up and will need His love and kindness to help us through and back on track. This is the kind of grace we should strive to show others.
We are not perfect and never will be so if we make allowance for each others faults then we become more patient and are able to be more gracious.
Ephesians 4:32 - Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Let us remember to be gracious and that we all are imperfect people doing our best. Also remember to show God's grace, mercy and love to others.
