Colossians 1:19-20
For God is all his fullness was please to lice in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything in himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
Peace comes from knowing Jesus and is not linked to external circumstances.
Peace is a vital part of our relationship with the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 29:11 The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.
You ever notice when we think of peace, we literally think about nature…ok well I do.
I think it is because it is what grounds us. Nature literally grounds us. And getting out into it really bring a sense of peace because we see all of life around us doing the same things God made them to do and they aren’t distracted by anything else in this world.
In another thought have you ever had something come up and it took a great deal of processing to understand what is happening? In that process you need understanding and peace from God to fully know what He has for you in that.
I have had moments like that and I have prayed and asked God for that peace that surpasses all understanding so many time and I fully believe that He has answered those prayers.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
The uncertainty of life can really set us back but God can come in a calm our spirits in that uncertainty. I think of the story in the Bible were Jesus and His disciples are in a boat and Jesus in sleeping and a wind and waves come hard. The disciples become terrified and go wake up Jesus. He gets up and calms the wind and waves by telling it to stop.
Set your heart on the God of peace and you will know without that He is with you and will give you the peace you are needing.
Peace is a fruit is a fruit of the Spirit and that is given to us by God to cultivate and grow. He will teach you all about it. Just ask and you shall receive.
All you need to do is ask Him for peace and He will give it to you. In times of fear and anxiety, be intentional to look for ways God is offering His peace.
Peace might seem hard to come by. But the good news is we serve a God who keeps His promises, and He has promised peace in every situation.
