Watching the clock... 9-5
It can be exhausting, I know...
Maybe we can look it our jobs as more than just work but as working for God in all things.
I have worked many different jobs and they were not all great but I knew I needed to do it so I did.
Colossians 3:23 says, Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
This is no easy task... to work willingly in whatever you do... difficult but doable. Where is your thought process when it comes to work? Is it on the job OR is it on what you are doing for others OR for God?
If you think about your job and you think, how am I helping others? How am I doing this for the Lord? This process can change your perspective on the job at hand.
If you bring joy into work then that can change so much in you and in others.
1 Corinthians 15:58 - So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
How often do we wonder, why an I here and why am I doing this? You are there because you choose to be but maybe also because that is where God needs you to be right now. It is all about doing what God has for you no matter where you are.
Work is work, it is what you put into it that will determine what you get out of it. Good brings good... most of the time.
I challenge you to ask God about your job. Ask Him to help you through it. Then ask Him why you are there and what it is He has for you there. You maybe surprised at the answer and it may change your view of the job and those around you.
