Everyone is influenced or an influencer. This is not something we probably think about too often but it’s true.
Here’s a quote so start us off.
“The concept of influence, encompassing both the impact we have on others and the sway others have over us, is a profound theme in the Bible. The concept of influence is deeply woven into the fabric of the Bible, emphasizing its power and significance in shaping our lives and those around us.”
So many times, I wish I could take back something I said or did because I realize afterward that it may not have been the best way for me to handle things. Whether I perceive my actions as good or bad, I occasionally feel this way because I understand the importance of being mindful of my words and actions. We all make mistakes, but when we are aware of them, we can correct them.
Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.”
We must strive to shine our light for God and demonstrate through our actions that we are living for Him. We can achieve this by setting good examples and being conscious of what we say and do, exercising discernment in all things.
When we hear the term "influencer" nowadays, some automatically think of celebrities and social media personalities because they are often labeled as such due to their impact and large following, which attracts people. It's crucial to be aware of what influences us.
On these platforms, there are individuals who speak God's word. They have discovered that this is a way to reach hundreds, if not thousands, of people—a modern-day form of missionary work.
Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
I believe we are called to shine our light for Christ in whatever way He impresses upon our hearts. We are to be examples of Christ to the world and should be engaged in God’s work.
When we examine the Bible, we see that Jesus was a significant influencer, as was Paul.
They were on a mission from the Father to share the Good News and teach others how to walk in the way of the Lord.
1 Peter 3:15 advises, “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”
We should seek the Lord’s guidance, study His Word, observe how Jesus lived, and strive to live accordingly. We should be influenced by God and the Bible so that as we navigate this world, we remain steadfast in our faith, regardless of the challenges we may face.
