If the snail can make it so can you

By perseverance the snail made it to the ark. - Charles Spurgeon

If that quote is not a visual representation of a long journey with a good ending I'm not sure what is.

Life is hard and sometimes we feel like it would be easier to give up than to keep going...

Things don't always go as we expect them or as smooth for that matter but we make it through for the most part.

It's when the heavy stuff is weighing us down that we feel like we won't make it. When there are family issues that seem unfixable. When medically it seems impossible. When financially we are under and don't see a way out....it is in those times we need to turn to God and ask for help to see the light and persevere.

God is in the know...He knows ALL. You don't go through something without His knowledge. We may seem alone because sometimes no one that is physically with us understands but God never leaves us and He does understand.

Think about it...in Bible times Moses, Noah, Paul and even Jesus went through things we may never have to (hopefully) but if they didn't give up and walk away then we can make it through what we are going through as well. The main reason why they made it through was because of God. He was with them, guiding them every step of the way. That same God is here with us too.

Romans 5:3-5 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

Sometimes it may seem like there is no good that can come from a situation but if we are living for Christ then He will see us through. We are building in character and in hope. There is a promise of a better life in place. There in lies the good and the finish line we are seeking.

Everyone's circumstances are different but know whatever it is you are going through....God is with you and will help you persevere.
