God tells to encourage one another

God tells us that we are encourage each other because he knows what we need. He knows better than we do. We think we can make it through times by ourselves and that maybe what is needed, but we may also need help along the way.

We live in a broken world and having encouragement from others can help us make it through the hard stuff.

Hebrews 3:13 - But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

I have contacted a friend when I felt prompted to just let them know I was thinking of them or praying for them in hopes of whatever it was that was going on they had some encouragement to make it through.

You never know what someone is going through and how just saying something can change their day, boost their mood or just help them through the next step they need to take.

Biblical encouragement isn't focused on complement's, but those do help, but encouragement through scriptures brings walking with the Lord to a different level.

Christian encouragement is shared with the hope that we will lift someone's heart toward God. To help bring their focus and desire back to Him. It also helps a person to remember God's promises and assures them that all they face is under God's control.

There are different scriptures that can help guide us along Biblical encouragement.

Faith - Acts 14:22 - where they (Paul and Barnabas) strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.

Hope - Romans 15:4 - Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

Unity - Romans 15:5 - May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.

Colossians 2:2 - I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.

Joy - Acts 15:31 - And there was great joy throughout the church that day as they read this encouraging message.

Strength - Acts 15:32 - Then Judas and Silas, both being prophets, spoke at length to the believers, encouraging and strengthening their faith.

Fruitfulness - Hebrews 10:24-25 - Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Faithfulness - 1 Thessalonians 2:12 - We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory.

Perseverance - Hebrews 10:25 - And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Certainty of Christ's return - 1 Thessalonians 4:14 &18 - For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died..... So encourage each other with these words.

Here are some ways you can being to grow and being to encourage others.

-Pray for God to teach you how to be an encourager.

-Make encouragement a daily discipline.

-Pray for God to show you who you are to encourage.

-Be specific, if you are able to, when you encourage someone.

-Be wise and discern the best way to give someone encouragement.

Ephesians 3:20-21 - Now all glory to God, who is able. through his mighty power to work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

May the Lord do more that we can imagine through just a little encouragement.
