Today, we’re going to talk about God’s protection. Life can sometimes feel uncertain, but God promises to protect us, guide us, and keep us safe, even through our biggest challenges. We’re going to explore what the Bible says about how God watches over us.
The Bible is filled with reminders that we are never alone, and we have a Protector who is bigger than any fear or challenge. Today, we’ll look at what it means to trust in His protection and how we can stand strong knowing He’s always with us.
Psalm 46:1 says: “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” This verse is a beautiful reminder that God is our place of safety and protection, always ready to come to our aid.
We are talking about God’s Protection today… Think about it: a shield doesn’t just protect part of us, it surrounds and shields us from all sides. That’s the kind of protection God offers. He’s there in front of us, behind us, and all around us.
In observing our sheep I find that when one of our sheep are sick or wounded there is at least one other sheep near by to watch and protect the one who is hurt or sick. They are helping to shield and protect each other from whatever may come.
Psalm 3:3 says, “But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.” This verse paints a powerful image of God as a shield that surrounds us completely. It’s like having an unbreakable force field around you. Even when things come against us, God’s shield gives us the courage to keep moving forward.
If you’re facing something that feels overwhelming, remember that God is your shield. His protection goes before you, preparing a way, and He stands with you in whatever you’re facing.
When we trust in God, it’s like we’re nestled under His wings. Life’s uncertainties and fears may still come our way, but God is our shelter, offering us safety and comfort in His presence.
Psalm 91:4 says, “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” This imagery shows us that God’s protection is both powerful and tender.
When worries creep in, remind yourself that God’s promises are your armor This is something that I struggled with. My mind would just reel and settle on thoughts of what ifs and negativity, and it was through reminding myself that God has got everything taken care of that I would be able to push through those thoughts. Because God does have you covered with His protection, and nothing can snatch you from His hands. We’re safe in His love.
God’s protection surrounds and comforts us, even in life’s harshest storms. Thank you, Lord, for your protection.
This verse is a verse that I repeated to myself over and over throughout the years. It is Isaiah 41:10 and it says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
We don’t have to face it alone because He’s holding us up with His strength. Through life we can feel alone and that no one knows what we are facing. No one knows our loneliness. No one would understand even if we shared. But this verse is a reminder that God is present in every situation, no matter how tough it may seem.
If you’re in a season of struggle, remember that God’s protection isn’t just a promise for the easy days—it’s a promise for all days. He’s ready to strengthen you and walk with you through every challenge.
Imagine being carried by someone strong and trustworthy when you feel weak—that’s how God holds us. He is always there to give us strength and courage, even when we feel overwhelmed.
We can rest in His promise to shield us, to cover us under His wings, and to strengthen us in all circumstances. His protection is unshakable, and He invites us to find peace and courage in that truth.
Let’s end with this verse from 2 Thessalonians 3:3, “But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.” God’s faithfulness and strength are constant, guarding us and guiding us every day.
As you go through your day, remember that God is with you, protecting and watching over you. No matter what you’re facing, you’re not alone. His love and protection are always surrounding you.
