God's Perspective

Today, we’re talking about perspective, specifically how God’s view differs from ours. We all face times when life doesn’t make sense, and we wonder what God is up to. But God sees things from a different angle—an eternal, all-knowing view.

As humans, we naturally view things through our limited understanding, which can sometimes lead to fear or doubt. But God’s perspective is filled with hope, love, and purpose. Today, we’ll look at the beauty of trusting God’s view over our own and letting His perspective guide us.

Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “‘My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,’ says the Lord. 'And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” This verse is a reminder that God sees and knows far more than we ever could.

I have watched people just be so oblivious to what is going on around them because they are so focused on their task or their schedule and sometimes, we’re so focused on what we see in front of us that we miss the bigger picture. Due to that focus, we might feel anxious or fearful because we don’t have all the answers because we are seeking for what we can do and not what God might be doing for us. But this verse I’m about to read reminds us that God is guiding us, even when we don’t understand everything.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Remember that our human perspective is limited, but God has the complete view. It is trusting in Him, even when things don’t make sense, that we will find that we have peace in situations that should be causing us to freak out a bit. Which then will show others the strength of God in our situation.

Have you ever started a maze and about have way through you feel like you might be stuck it in? I’ve been in one and even had a map and felt that way. I think if I had a sky eye view as I was walking through it, I would have made it with no problems because I’m good with mazes on paper. But we don’t have that sky eye view in life and so then when we are going through like things can feel overwhelming. We need to remember that God’s perspective includes the end of the story. He knows what He’s doing, and His plans for you are good. Trust that He is working, even when you can’t see it.

Jeremiah 29:11says, “For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

This verse shows us that God’s plans are filled with hope and goodness, even when our lives feel uncertain or challenging. He knows what’s best for us, He has that sky eye view, and He sees beyond the moment into eternity.

Honestly it is not always easy to believe that challenges have a purpose, but God’s perspective is so much bigger than ours. He sees how each piece of our life fits together, creating something beautiful.

We have this puzzle at home and all the pieces are very similar and though the puzzle comes together, and the picture is complete it is the fact that every piece is so similar is what makes this puzzle so difficult to do. I have tried to put this puzzle together 2 times…. If I had to piece my life together and it was like this puzzle I wouldn’t get very far. I am so thankful to know that God knows what piece goes where and that He is creating something beautiful.

Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” From God’s perspective, even the hard things work out for our good.

So, ask God to help you see it through His eyes. He’s working behind the scenes in ways we can’t always see, weaving every experience into His good plan for our lives.

Trust in God’s view of our lives. He’s in control, and His perspective is always filled with love, purpose, and grace. No matter what you’re facing, know that God sees the way through.

Let’s close with 2 Corinthians 5:7 that says, “For we live by believing and not by seeing.” When we choose to live by faith and are confident in God’s perspective, we can experience peace, even in the unknown.

As you go through your day, ask God to give you, His perspective. Let His love and wisdom shape how you see every situation. God sees the big picture and holds every detail of your life in His hands. Let’s step into today with trust and peace.
