This past Sunday we had a youth event and it was a color war.
A color war is where you have powder colored red, blues, green, pink. It's fun a messy because you throw it at each other...fun.
Watching the joy on the faces of the youth could make you want to join in but not enough to be covered in colored powder. After all the powder was done they had a water fight and things went from messy to messier, but the same time somewhat clean...is was interesting to say the least.
I took pictures to send to the student leaders and when I was looking through them and seeing the handprints and powder everywhere, I thought, man wouldn't that be cool if we could see the hand print of God visibly in that way.
Think about it, every time you pray and reach out and God answers a prayer we get a new colored handprint from God. Every time God put His hand on us to guide us we get a new handprint on us...visually that would be a huge impact to see how often we were touched by God. I think it might be more than we think.
I know that we don't need that representation because we can see and feel God moving in our lives but if you could, would you for one day want to see how many times God touched your life that day? I would, sign me up for that.
As I sit here and write this I am imagining it and I think it would be a beautiful rainbow of God's handprints.
Today I really hope you know you are loved and you feel the hand of God adding some color today because He is with you every step of the way.
This scripture will help you remember that love every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 - The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.
I love this!
