God knows you... even your coffee order

Here’s a fun thought—did you know that God knows your coffee order? Yep!

Whether you're a black-coffee kind of person or someone whose drink sounds more like a dessert—He knows.

And not just your coffee order, He knows you. Every quirk, every habit, every good morning, and every hard day. Today we’re talking about what it means to be known—truly, deeply, lovingly known—by the God who created you.

So grab your favorite mug, to-go cup, or order and settle in, and let’s start this day with a smile and a reminder that you are never unseen.

Main Scripture: Psalm 139:1-2 (NLT) — “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.”

Let’s talk about the crazy fact that the Creator of the universe knows you better than your barista. Better than your spouse. Better than you know yourself.

I know that can be hard to grasp… No one knows me better than myself, right? But the One who created us knows every part of us.

Ever feel like a regular at your local coffee shop? My daughter and I went and got coffee the other day and they gave her the amount of whipped cream she likes and she said, "they just know what I like". When you walk in, and they already know: “Coffee with hazelnut and oat milk", it makes your feel special.

The thing God knows more than anyone is your preferences, your patterns, your daily rhythm—because He’s walking it with you.

You don’t have to hide your flaws from God. He already sees them—and loves you anyway.

What’s something quirky or comforting that reminds you God knows and loves you personally?

Sometimes the smallest things—like a warm cup of coffee—can be a holy reminder that God is close.

Let’s dig into the everyday ways God shows us, “Hey, I see you. I know you. I care about what matters to you.” Even the little things.

I think there are so many little moments that may feel too small for God—finding your keys, getting a parking spot on a rainy day, or a perfect sunset after a hard day.

But God sees it all and is in every bit of it. Sometimes things just open right up for us because God’s like, “Saw you needed a break, so here’s a moment of peace.”

He doesn’t just track our actions—He cares about our hearts. Our longings, doubts, and joys.

When you can’t even find the words, God already understands the prayer.

The Bible tells us in Romans 8:26–27 — “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.”

This is so special - God knows us so deeply that words don't even have to be involved.

Being known doesn’t mean we’re expected to be perfect. God knows who we are and who we’re becoming.

Since God fully sees and knows us, it is comforting to know that He sees the progress, not just the mess.

Main Scripture: Psalm 139:1-2 (NLT) — “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.”

God is in the details—not because He has to be, but because He wants to be close to you.

Let’s talk about how knowing we’re known can change the way we live. This walk with God? It’s not religion—it’s relationship. And it’s personal.

When you know you’re seen and loved, you can go out and reflect that love to others.

God doesn’t just know your coffee order—He knows someone else’s too. And He might use you to deliver their encouragement.

If God already knows everything—why pray? Because prayer isn’t about information, it’s about intimacy.

You don’t have to start with, “Dear Heavenly Father…” You can just say, “Hey God, I’m here.”

It’s all about making space for God in your routine—not out of guilt, but out of connection.

Main Scripture: Psalm 139:1-2 (NLT) — “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.”

Through prayer, there is a connection made. Just like connecting with your friends through conversation, that is what prayer is there for—to talk to God as a friend that you can completely confide in because He knows you inside and out.

Rest in the idea that you are fully known and fully loved.

Let that soak in—you are fully known, loved, and welcomed by our loving, caring Father God.

If you are feeling alone or seeking out someone to connect with today, I want to encourage you to pray and ask the Lord to fill that space and truly show you His love.

You are not a mystery to God. You are a masterpiece. And He delights in every little thing about you—even your complicated drink order.

Just remember this: You are not alone. You are not overlooked. The same God who knows how many hairs are on your head also knows exactly how you like your coffee—and more importantly, He knows your heart.

Let that truth warm you up today. You’re seen. You’re known. You’re loved. And you’ve got a God who’s never surprised by who you are.
