In reading the Bible I came to Moses and Joshua. Moses has passed and God calls Joshua to take over and lead the Israelites. Joshua literally picks right up where Moses left off and this is only because God had been preparing Joshua all along. He was using Him to help Moses and so when the time came for Joshua to lead, He was ready.
God equips and uses all of us for something. Let’s talk more about that today.
Saw this quote it says, “You may think that God uses people who have impressive abilities and gifts, or you may think that God uses a person who has been to seminary and has lots of training, or you may think that God uses a person who has great knowledge of the Bible. God uses His people no matter their abilities, graduation status or knowledge of the Bible.”
Not one person that God had chosen to live out His work had any experience in what He wanted them to do. Now of course your abilities and attributes may help you, but it is not something that God is worried about. He is more concerned about where your heart is.
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.”
Everything I have accomplished in life was not because of what I know or am able to do. I had no intention of doing some of the things I had done. But God put everything into place and made it all happen. He is the one who opens doors and makes a way. He has equipped me over the years to be able to do all I am doing today.
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
God thoughtfully and intentionally places desires in our heart and guides us. He has a plan and a purpose for all of us if we choose to follow Him.
In order to be used by God we need to make our hearts are available for service and that we are fully devoted to all He has for us.
This life and all it can bring are sometimes too difficult to comprehend. One thing is clear though and that is that God is not a God of confusion and so we know that we can find clarity is Him. We can also be confident to know that every interaction can be an opportunity for growth and to fulfill His divine purpose for our lives.
Philippians 4:12-13 says, “I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
When we are talking about being used by God, it’s about learning to listen to our father and obeying. We can trust that all things will work together for His and our good.
