God is Faithful

Have you ever had one of those moments where you’re praying and hoping, trusting that God’s got it all under control… and then things just don’t go the way you expected? Yeah, me too. Sometimes faith can feel a little disappointing, and we don’t talk about that enough. Today, we’re diving into those moments—but not in a heavy way. We’ll chat about life, share some stories, and hopefully remind each other that even when things don’t make sense, God is still working. Let’s get into it!
Our scripture for today is an encouragement because it helps us keep in mind that the Lord is faithful in all things. The scripture is Psalm 100:5, and it says, “For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”
Let’s hold on to the fact that God is faithful, even when our faith feels a little shaky.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely had those times when I was sure God was going to come through a certain way, and He had a totally different plan. It can feel confusing. Like, have you ever had one of those weeks where you feel like you’re doing all the right things—praying, trusting—and then… nothing?
I remember one time I prayed for something I really wanted. I even convinced myself it was "meant to be." Spoiler: I didn’t get it. I was crushed.
It makes us feel like, “What’s the point?” But that is where we have to be careful because it’s in those thoughts that the enemy can feel like he has a foothold. We need to not give up but rely on God.
When life reroutes us, we panic. Recently, I saw a video of a woman driving and following her GPS. It told her to turn… right into a lake. She didn’t question it—she followed it and ended up ruining her car and her trip.
I was driving the other day, and my app rerouted me. I groaned, but sure enough, I avoided a huge traffic jam. Sometimes detours just don’t make any sense, and we can even get ourselves into trouble by listening to something without really checking into it.
BUT God’s detours—those are the ones we can trust.
If you’ve ever had a moment where you were in a waiting period but really felt like your faith let you down, I want to hear from you. Call or text me at 281-824-1228. Let’s share these moments and lift each other up.
If you’re in one of those tough seasons, remember this: God isn’t ignoring you. Sometimes the silence is where the biggest growth happens. Trust the process.
You know, sometimes faith isn’t about the big moments. It’s about trusting God in the little ones, too. Let’s dive a little deeper into that.
I used to think faith meant I had to have it all figured out. I grew up in church, and to be honest, I wasn’t really paying too much attention because it was just something we did. I thought I was all good because I went to church.
Over the years, as I truly leaned into my walk with the Lord, I’ve learned what faith really is. And honestly, some days, faith is just getting out of bed and trusting God to get you through. It’s those everyday moments that shape our faith the most.
Have you ever misplaced your keys and immediately thought, "Alright, God, I need a miracle!"? And then, when you find them, you’re like, "Praise the Lord!" Sometimes we treat God like our personal search-and-rescue team.
Have you ever prayed that your car would make it to the gas station on fumes? Spoiler alert: It did.
It’s funny how even the smallest things can feel like a test of faith.
These things may seem small and silly, but God still works through them to remind us that He is with us.
Our scripture for today is Psalm 100:5, and it says, “For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”
If today feels heavy, take a deep breath. Faith isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up, even when it’s hard.
Some days, all we can do is take that one next step and hope that God will help us with the rest. So many times, days just feel too difficult, and all I can say is, “Be with me and help me, Jesus.”
Let’s be encouraged that that’s okay. We need to depend on the Lord, and when life is hard, He is with us—we can lean on Him to carry us.
You know, faith is a journey, and sometimes the road is bumpy. But those bumps don’t mean you’re lost—they just mean you’re human. Let’s keep this rolling and dive into more stories.
Let’s be real. Sometimes you pray, and nothing happens. It can feel like God hit the mute button. It can feel like we are alone, like we aren’t being heard or seen. But maybe—just maybe—He’s working behind the scenes in ways we can’t see yet.
When my kids ask me a question about going and doing something, my answer is usually, "Maybe, we’ll see." This is because I don’t know what’s coming. When they ask my husband, he will either answer them or he won’t say anything.
I can see the frustration within them because they want an answer, and they want to be heard. Often, it’s our expectations and impatience that get the best of us when we are waiting for an answer.
We need to remember that God’s timing is everything!
Have you ever used the "5-second rule" when you’ve dropped food? That’s some serious faith right there. We trust that the floor bacteria will obey the rule and not touch our snacks. We trust that we won’t get sick from what has touched the thing we dropped.
We need to blindly trust God in the same way. Imagine that you’re on the floor for 5 seconds, and God is standing there, protecting you from all the things.
God is with us.
If you’re waiting on God for something, you’re not alone. Waiting is hard, but it’s also where trust grows. You’re doing better than you think.
Boldly trust the Lord.
Faith doesn’t mean never doubting. It means holding on even when doubt creeps in. Trust that God is still writing your story.
Our scripture for today is Psalm 100:5, and it says, “For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”
I just want to leave you with this: It’s okay to feel disappointed sometimes. Faith isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about trusting the One who does. Take a deep breath, give yourself some grace, and remember that God is always working, even when we can’t see it.
