Do you feel like God is an approachable God or do you think you can only come to Him when there is an issue?
Many times, in the Bible we can see that God approached people and told them what to do and where to go. If you continue to read, you will also see that the people went to Him as well. They prayed and asked for guidance, and they also went to Him with their concerns and complaints. The Psalms alone are full of lament and praise. So yes, I think God is an approachable God. He is a God who cares and knows us better than we know ourselves
He relates with us as our Father who deeply loves us and cares for us like none other. He’s always working on our behalf for the good - Romans 8:28
God is a God of compassion and wants the best for us like any Father which is why we can go to Him with anything. Lamentations 3:22-23 – The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
This scripture reminds us that "because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail." His compassion, accompanied by love, is the story of the Bible. It is the story of a God who would stop at nothing to draw near to His people.
The Israelites show us that God is a God who loves so much that He will never let us go no matter what.
The God of the Bible is approachable, having made a way for us to be in fellowship with Himself through Jesus Christ. We can communicate with Him on a personal level. — “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” - Hebrews 4:16
Each of us can personally approach God. Jesus even said let even the children come to me. There is nothing about who you are or what you have done that would stop that. Going to Him is how we ask for forgiveness, guidance, understanding, etc. He is seeking us and all we must do is call out to Him.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” - 1John 5:14
There’s that song Goodness of God that we play that says in the chorus – "All my life you have been faithful and all my life you have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able. Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God." So, as you go about things think about what it is you need to go to God about and don’t hesitate, He is there waiting and willing to hear you, love you, and guide you. His goodness never fails.
