Change and renewal can make us uncomfortable. We don't always like change but we all go through it and when we are focused on God we will be more successful in making it through.
In this scripture we see the importance of having fellow believers walking beside us and helping us grow.
1 Corinthians 3:7-9 It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.
When we are talking about building God’s Kingdom, we are talking about growing the body of Christ. In the end it does not matter who planted the seed and who watered it because they are working for the same purpose. What matters is God made it grow.
God allows the planter and waterer to be the hands and feet, but He is the one that nurtures the heart and allows the love of God to grow.
We all help and work together to further Gods Kingdom.
We need God and others when there are changes that happen because we can feel lost and weary and when we are able to lean into God and focus on Him we will always know He is working whether we fully see it or not.
We have this spot in our yard where we had our above ground pool. It is a big circle of dead grass. I find it interesting because I expected grass or weed to have grown and covered it pretty quickly over the last 5 months, but it hasn’t. I know how quickly grass can grow through dirt that we have brought into areas, so I think it is interesting how this is growing at a different rate.
Spring is around the corner, and I am wondering how long it will take for it to be all green again. I am curious if the root is growing deep first before we see the outward growth.
I bring this up because we all have times of winter, where we feel like nothing is happening. But as we continue to pray and follow the Lord, we need to realize is that work is being done regardless of what we see. If we are staying on the path of spending time with the Lord, our roots are growing. Things are changing and eventually you will see new growth in many different ways.
Change may take a while but in order for growth to happen renewal needs to come. Winter and Spring come around every year. New growth happens and it is beautiful.
One thing is certain the with God always working and moving change is inevitable and knowing that He is in control helps to push through the tough stuff.
Philippians 1:6 - And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
When we are changing and growing in Christ, the Bible tells us that God will carry us. Renewal and change can bring on things we didn’t want from time to time but all are important in the journey. We will make it through with God as our guide and we know that is true because we can trust in God.
Just list the scripture above says…. if God began it, He would continue it until it is finished.
