James 1:5 (NLT) – "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking."

We are going to get back to the music right now but when we come back and go through today’s trivia and scripture, remember, wisdom is always available to you when you ask God. Whether you get the answer right or wrong, it’s all part of growing in understanding Him more deeply!

Alright we are back and it's time to warm up those brains! We’ll kick off our first hour with a round of trivia with some Old Testament questions. From creation to the Exodus, there are so many incredible stories to learn from. Let's dive in and see how much you remember! Let’s start with a scripture to get us going.

Genesis 1:1 (NLT) – "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

God’s creation is the foundation of everything we know. Genesis opens with the account of how God formed the world with His words. There is beauty and order in the world, and it reflects God's creativity and divine nature.

Even the early chapters of Genesis we are invited to see the bigger picture—God's love for His creation and it so amazing to think on that and how much care was and is put into everything.

Our first question is an easy one as it is still early, and we are trying to get moving this morning.

Trivia Question:

"Who was the first man created by God? A) Adam B) Noah C) Abraham"

Answer: A) Adam

Take a moment today to reflect on God's creative power in the world around you. Look at creation and know that every sunrise and sunset is a reminder of His handiwork.

How do you see God’s creativity reflected in your life?

Let’s talk about the patriarchs and God’s promise that were Genesis.

The scripture before our trivia question is this - Genesis 12:2-3 (NLT) – "I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others."

The promises made to Abraham are foundational to understanding God's plan for Israel and the world. Only God knew who would be set a part to make a nation. Amazing to think about.

And God's covenant with Abraham shows us that He keeps His promises. Even when things seem uncertain, His plan is always moving forward.

Trivia Question:

"Who was Abraham's wife? A) Sarah B) Rebekah C) Rachel"

Answer: A) Sarah

God’s promises never fail. Even if you're waiting on something, remember He has a plan for you—just as He did for Abraham.

What promises from God do you cling to in moments of doubt?

The Exodus represents God’s faithfulness to His people, rescuing them from slavery in Egypt.

When we face obstacles, God often provides a way where there seems to be no way.

Exodus 14:21-22 (NLT) – "Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground."

Trusting in God’s timing and power is key in every difficult moment.

Trivia Question:

"What did Moses part to allow the Israelites to escape Egypt? A) The Red Sea B) The Jordan River C) The Nile"

Answer: A) The Red Sea

When you face challenges today, remember that God has a way of making a path where none seems possible.

When have you seen God make a way where you thought there was no way?

This hour let’s jump into the New Testament for our trivia. This is where we see Jesus in action, the start of the early Church, and how God's love came alive in a whole new way. Ready for another round?

Our scripture to set up our first question is this.

John 14:6 (NLT) – "Jesus told him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.'"

Jesus came to reveal God’s heart in a personal, direct way. He is the fulfillment of God’s promises to bring salvation.

Jesus’ teachings on love, forgiveness, and grace challenge us to live differently in the world.

Trivia Question:

Sometimes the small things in life hold great significance. This was just liquid being changed and it made an impact on those all that were at that gathering.

Look for the miracles in your everyday moments.

How has Jesus changed your life, and what miracle are you waiting for?

Our scripture set up for our next question is this - Acts 1:8 (NLT) – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

The Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to spread the gospel. Even today, the Spirit continues to equip us to share God’s love with the world.

Paul’s letters are full of wisdom on how to live out the gospel. We find many letter through the new testament and one that will be getting us ready for our next trivia question is found in Romans 8:28 (NLT) – "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Even in suffering, we are reminded that God’s plan is always for our good, even when we don’t understand it.

Trivia Question:

How do you equip yourself with God’s truth in your daily life?

Let’s start with this scripture in 1 Samuel 16:7 (NLT) – "But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'"

God often calls the most unlikely people to do His work.

God looks at the heart. Don’t let the world’s standards define your worth or the calling God has for you.

How can you focus more on your heart than your outward appearance in your relationship with God?

The women of the Bible, like Ruth, Esther, and Deborah, show us strength, faith, and courage.

God uses both men and women in His great plan.

Ruth 1:16 (NLT) – "But Ruth replied, 'Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.'"

Trivia Question:

"Who was the first woman to judge Israel? A) Deborah B) Esther C) Mary"

You can read about Deborah in the book of Judges and see the great discernment and leadership that the Lord lays upon her.

Let’s celebrate the strength of the women around us, knowing God has a special place for each of us in His story.

When you think about what qualities do you admire in the women of the Bible, and how can you reflect them?

Our next scripture set up for our trivia question is - Matthew 13:34-35 (NLT) – "Jesus always used stories and illustrations like these when speaking to the crowds. In fact, he never spoke to them without using such parables."

Jesus used parables to make profound spiritual truths accessible and memorable.

The parables challenge us to think deeply about our faith and actions.

Trivia Question:
