Being A Good Steward

Today’s topic is what it means to be a good steward. God has entrusted each of us with time, talents, resources, and responsibilities, and He calls us to manage them wisely for His glory. Stewardship isn’t just about money—it’s about faithfully caring for everything God has placed in our hands. Let’s explore how we can honor Him as stewards in every area of our lives.

When we think about being good stewards of what we have, we often focus on the monetary aspect. However, we need to look at everything God has provided and steward it well.

Time is a gift from God, and it is a limited resource. Every moment is an opportunity to glorify Him. Being intentional with our time shows wisdom and gratitude.

Make a list of your priorities and see how they align. Is spending time with God your number one priority?

Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”

Aligning our time with God helps us stay on the path of His will for our lives.

When reviewing our priorities, we might notice that work is at the top of the list. While we do need to work to provide for our needs, it’s easy to fall into the trap of overworking and neglecting the rest and rejuvenation we need to sustain ourselves.

A balance between work and rest is essential to honor God with what He has given us and to be good stewards.

When we think about gifts, we often associate them with performance, but we need to recognize that everyone has unique talents and abilities.

1 Peter 4:10 says, “God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”

God knows us inside and out. He knows how we can best fulfill what He has called us to do, so He has equipped us with talents to help us accomplish it. Our gifts are not meant to be hidden; they are meant to be used for God’s purposes. Identify one talent or skill you have, and use it to bless someone today.

We can always grow and improve our skills and talents. As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect.” When we work on refining what the Lord has given us, we dedicate ourselves to His work, glorify Him, and encourage others.

Being generous with our skills, talents, and money is a powerful way to show the Lord we trust Him and to worship Him.

Wisely managing all that God has given us also helps us remain aware of His creation and His faithfulness.

God has entrusted us with so much, and when we manage it faithfully, we reflect His goodness and share His blessings. Let’s strive to be good stewards in every area of our lives, always remembering that everything we have comes from Him.

Seek the Lord and faithfully manage what God has given you for His glory.
