How High, Long and Deep is it really?

God's love is not like any other kind of love we find on earth or in our life. It's forever, and for always. It's not something you earn or sustain. It's never going to fore sake and despite how broken or wounded we are...God promises He will always be with us. The love of a father is the closest earthly relationship we have to God's love.

I see the father lovingly looking into his baby's eyes. The love that shines of the father's face almost drips of his love. This child doesn't work to help the family. This child eats, sleeps and.....well, we all know what comes next. It doesn't act on the love, doesn't return the love for love. The baby simply IS - yet the father loves the child deeply. He is caring for the baby's physical needs and making sure that the baby learns how loved and valued he/she is.

As the relationship continues the child begins to join by returning the love, becoming more than just a recipient and more a participant. As both age the love, relationship and shared life begins to mature. God's forever love, His patience as we grow in knowledge and wisdom never lessens. God is our biggest cheerleader, the wisest counsel and the Father who has promised to always love us, who will ever leave us....and who desires to be with us.

Father's day is just over a week away....If you could make a homemade Father's Day card for God the Father...what would it look like? what would it say. I'd love to see your kids or your grandkids cards for God this Fathers Day. Send them to Susan@KJIC.org.

Ephesians 3:18 NLT

And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
