I Found Jesus

No destination in mind
when I took everything I had to my name
put it in a box, threw it in the backseat of my silver civic
First stop was a state away
filled that 12.4 gallon tank
took half of what my faded blue jean pocked had left in it
& right there in the console was a book I seldom read
flipped through it as a rest stop, stumbled across some words in red
It all fell into place
for once in my life I believed
I could almost see His face smiling at me from the shotgun seat
like a light shining in the dark, right out of the blue
I started out not knowing where I was going but now I do
the best thing about me trying to find me is
I found Jesus
The next 100 miles flew by
you wonder where the time goes
when you pour your heart & soul out and you know someone is listening
I don't know where I'm gonna be
when I put new roots down in some new town
but I'll be breaking that new ground forgiven
It all fell into place
