You Are Not Alone

I have always dealt with abandonment issues, it something that stems back to when I was a child. I recently became an empty nester, and It feels like it all happened so fast! I'm still acclimating to the lack of chaos in the house. I have been a single parent for going on 9 years and I have come to grips with the realization that I will most likely will be growing gracefully alone. I may not have had a successful relationship, but I can definitely try and help others from my mistakes. Please know that I am not trying to get sympathy or pity! I realize now I should have really prayed and fasted about my life choices a whole lot more. I laugh at myself at times because you might see what looks like the whole package, but God see's the heart. The Bible say's in Matthew 12:34 For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

So take time to hear what your potential spouse has to say. So don't do all the talking like I did! Ask yourself these questions, is the person kind, generous, & respectful? Most importantly, does this person know Jesus Christ our Savior? If you are a born again believer and you get with someone who does not know Christ, you might feel the burden of trying to fill a void that only The Holy Spirit can fill, because only Jesus can bring us Joy & Peace. If God is not the foundation of the marriage, it only makes things more difficult.

Sometimes from time to time I need to remind my self of this scripture in Deuteronomy 31:8. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged
