Witnessing to others is Marketing 101

Witnessing to others is something we're actually instructed to do in the bible. (Mark 16:15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.") With that said, we have to be well read in the Word to accurately convey why we have a hope and a future. Think of it as marketing for God. In effect, we're the ultimate representative of His. But to effectively influence someone, we have to be educated on the subject. Think about when you've gone to a phone store and met a salesperson who wasn't well trained in the differences between phone plans or models. You aren't as inclined to listen to their pitch if they can't effectively promote their product or service. If you then go to another store and they know all of the ins and outs of the latest plans and phones, and especially how it could benefit you and your family, you're much more likely to use them. The same thing applies to spreading the gospel and witnessing to others. We need to be confident and proud of what we're relaying to others, too. It could very well change their lives. 2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

It is a big responsibility, but we work for the best boss the world. After all, He has the best retirement plan ever known.
