Mark. 8 Verses 34 to 38
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
This scripture really speaks to me because we can be blinded to the fact that this life is not forever, but eternity is.
James 4:14 Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
If you think about it, where will we be 100 years from now?
The most important thing we can do while it is still today is to get to know the lord. We don't have a promise of tomorrow. Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. – Proverbs 27:1
For so many it's easy to put having a relationship with God on the back burner, but it is the most important thing you can do.
He loves you and wants to know you other than just being an acquaintance.
Maybe religion has hurt you, maybe someone hurt you, but don't let anyone or anything keep you from knowing Jesus!
