Kids do grow up so fast. I had heard this said to me many times when I had small children. Now I can see why the older generation would tell me this. Kids will remember the time you spend with them. It doesn't have to cost a whole lot to make memories and to have adventures. Enjoy them while they are little and while you can, because before you know it they will leave the nest. Take it from this empty nester!
