In the Bible, God says " when you seek me, if you seek me with your whole heart, you will find me. I will be found by you"
So, while God is making himself available and approachable, He is also saying that you must seek Him.
It's not a 'Look for me and I'll show up'.....God talks about seeking. That's more than just looking around, it's actively searching...you NEED to find what you are seeking and so you are working at finding it.
When seek is used in Jeremiah 29:13,14 it's made obvious that while God promises to be available and approachable...it requires us to make the effort to find HIM...not just His word, but HIM.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God is saying if His people pray, seek and turn from our wicked ways....you will not only find HIM but he will heal the land. He was talking to the Israelites but it can be seen appropriate for today.
