itty bitty anchor and BIG BIG BOAT

Ever notice that the bigger the ship, the bigger the anchor? If you were to put a small anchor on a huge ship...the anchor couldn't hold it safely in position. When you think of your life, what do you want to anchor your life to? A multimillion dollar cargo ship attached to a 50 dollar anchor doesn't sound like a good idea, does it? That little anchor cannot possibly secure the ship, especially in rough seas.

Jesus wants to be your anchor. When you have attached your life to the anchor that is Jesus you can be sure that it is strong enough to make sure that you can ride out the storms of life. You can trust that the anchor is going to keep you safe in the harbor.
