Helping our neighbor can be back in style

I'm sure you've seen commercials for a new car or phone that you didn't know you couldn't live without. They're aimed at you. Notice you rarely see a commercial that promotes buying a product or service that will help out someone else? That's the trend advertising has had for decades. But it can change. If we apply Jesus' principles to our lives, we can make helping out our fellow man fashionable again.

1 John 3:17 "But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?"

And you never know a person's struggles until you ask. By asking and offering to help, you just might change someone's life.

Philippians 2:4 "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."

If we applied just a few of these principles, imagine how much of a positive impact it would have on the world.
