Colossians 3:23-24
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Matthew 25:40.
We are called to be a blessing on earth by doing something for others, and by being selfless. When we have the opportunity to do something for someone, we should do it. We are all called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether it is giving a smile, or just a random act of kindness. It don't always have to involve money, it could be helping someone with chores or helping around the house. It may seem like an easy task for us, but might mean the world to someone in need.
Life becomes remarkably easier when we do everything as to the Lord, and our love to Him is the driving force in our lives. When we practice this, we become less and less dependent on the people watching us. God Himself will fill us with power and a desire to do all the good for His sake, and He blesses what we do.
Let us take Paul’s recommendation to heart – always do our service – all things – as unto the Lord, regardless what we are doing!
