  What's Happening  ............

                

      July has arrived! We’re six months into the year. And we need to share something with you our listeners.

      The economy is taking it’s toll on many Christian ministries and KJIC is no exception. We have more than tightened our belts in every possible area.  That is every area except ministry.

      We still offer KJIC 90.5 FM; We still offer Pilgrims Rest-our prayer retreat; We still mail to our entire mailing list The Word For You Today—our daily devotional; We still maintain two web-sites; We write, print, and mail Uncommon Answers to everyone on our mailing list monthly; We still stream 90.5 FM and Praise and Worship music the world over. We have not cut back in any area of ministry.

      But out of necessity that may change. We operate totally on gifts—contributions—to the ministry. We are not a business; we don’t sell anything. We are a ministry. We give whatever, and all that we can, to comfort, encourage and strengthen God’s people and to give light to the lost.  The gifts of our listeners have made all of these avenues of ministry possible. The sustaining of these ministries is also dependent on our listeners.

      I’m not here to beg. I would never do that. I’m simply here to let God’s people know of our need. God, through His people, for nearly 30 years has sustained and grown this ministry.

WHO WE ARE

Community Radio, Inc is a non-profit corporation in the state of Texas since 1978. Board members are all zealous for the Lord Jesus and for this ministry. We are also recognized by the IRS as a 501 c 3 charitable organization. This makes all gifts to the ministry tax deductible.

We are licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to operate KJIC as a non-commercial FM station.

We are Christians in our religious persuasion, not separated by denominational barriers. We believe in the one God of the Holy Bible, manifest as the heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in salvation from the guilt and power of sin by God's favor, through our faith, to enable us to do good works. We believe King Jesus will return to bless the saints and judge the world.

OUR PURPOSE

It's our desire to be used by God in ministry to others. We hope to bring comfort, encouragement, and spiritual strength to the church, and "light" to those in darkness. We hope to be used by Him.

We broadcast His Word by radio, print, the internet, conversation, or any other means available to us. We do this with expectation.

OUR FORMAT

We are traditional gospel music radio. Most hours we do play two programs 1 to 5 minutes in length, but you are never far from music. Our music points to Jesus and all that He has provided, and to our celebration of life in Him.
